She began as a triple major in Cello Performance, Choral Music Education and Vocal Performance, but quickly determined that singing was the place to concentrate her efforts.
Valerie has been seen on the stages of Central City Opera, Ohio Light Opera, the Castleton Festival, Abravanel Hall and here in Nashville at the Schermerhorn Hall and soon to be Nashville Opera, in their up and coming production of Das Rheingold. Valerie has maintained a private vocal studio for the past 12 years, and has taught children of all ages in a variety of styles and genres. She especially loves her work with young singers and is passionate about helping them find confidence, courage and a life-long love of singing.
